TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in Iran and the Iran-China Friendship Association on Thursday held a cultural activity in the capital Tehran to celebrate the Chinese New Year and the upcoming Iranian New Year's Day Nowruz.
An exhibition of achievements made by the Chinese government in the last 40 years was held in the Niavaran Complex, a historical palace complex in northern Tehran.
Chinese Ambassador to Iran Pang Sen and Mohammad-Hassan Talebian, deputy director of the Iranian Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, attended the opening ceremony of the activity.
"China and Iran have always kept friendly relations with each other," Pang said. "The annual activity is a window for the Iranian people to see both traditional and modern China."
