BEIJING, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua News Agency on Friday opened its newsroom for the annual "two sessions" inside the Great Hall of the People.
The two sessions refer to the 2nd session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), which begins March 5, and the 2nd session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which opens on March 3.
Xinhua is the only media outlet authorized to be based in the Great Hall of the People. News will be released in eight languages -- Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese and Japanese, as well as in various forms including text, photograph, video, newspapers, periodicals, and new media.
This year, Xinhua will continue to stress innovation and media integration, with more efforts on providing visual content.
