KATHMANDU, March 3 (Xinhua) -- A Romanian citizen died after a glider met with an accident in Nepal's tourism hub Pokhara on Sunday afternoon, local authorities said here.
The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Ebe Chihjer, local police officer Rabindra Gurung told Xinhua over phone from the crash site.
The solo pilot, who flew from Sarangkot area of Pokhara, lost his control in course of landing in the city and plunged into local Fewa Lake, according to the police officer.
Police personnel immediately rescued him and rushed to local Fewa City hospital, where he breathed his last.
