JAKARTA, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Personnel of a joint-task force have shot dead one member of IS linked group in exchange of fire with the group in Central Sulawesi province of Indonesia and arrested another militant, the police said here on Monday.

Indonesian police and soldiers grouped in the task force have been launching a military operation against the members of Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MTI), which has been loyal to the IS terrorist group and committed a series of terrorist strikes in the area.
