JAKARTA, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's badminton squad has set a target of four gold medals at the 2019 All England Open this month, according to Susy Susanti, head of sport development at the Indonesian badminton association.
Indonesia has sent 17 shuttlers to compete in the tournament which will be held from March 6 to 10 at the Birmingham Arena.
"The All England is a high level tournament, so our main target is four gold medals," Susanti said, adding that the country's best opportunity to secure gold will be in the men's doubles, as Indonesia has several seeded men's double pairings.
"We hope there will be surprise, because it has been a long time since Indonesia secured gold in the men's singles," she was quoted by Tempo Media as saying.
