BUENOS AIRES, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Teenage midfielder Cristian Ferreira scored his third goal in as many matches on Sunday as River Plate continued their late-season revival with a 1-0 victory away to Atletico Tucuman.
The 19-year-old beat goalkeeper Cristian Lucchetti with a superb 20-yard volley after Bruno Bianchi's wayward headed clearance.
The result lifted River to fourth in the 26-team standings with 39 points, five points behind third-placed Boca Juniors. Atletico dropped to fifth.
Meanwhile, Pablo Hernandez scored one goal and set up another as Independiente secured a 2-0 home victory over Aldosivi.
The Chilean midfielder assisted Jonathan Menendez for the hosts' first goal on the stroke of halftime before netting his team's second with a low stoppage-time finish.
Independiente rose to eighth in the standings with 32 points while Aldosivi remained 12th.
In other Superliga Argentina matches on Sunday, Estudiantes won 1-0 at home to Gimnasia La Plata and San Martin Tucuman won 3-1 at Huracan.
