TOKYO, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose slightly in the lower 111 yen zone in Tokyo on Tuesday as market players reacted positively to the hope of a smooth Brexit and sharp rises in the Japanese stocks.
At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 111.36-37 yen compared with 111.17-27 yen in New York and 111.27-29 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. on Monday. It moved between 111.21 yen and 111.46 yen during the day.
The euro fetched 1.1266-1267 dollars and 125.46-50 yen against 1.1241-1251 dollars and 125.03-13 yen in New York and 1.1248-1250 dollars and 125.16-20 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon.
