WASHINGTON, March 18 (Xinhua) -- China's tennis player Zhu Lin lost to Kateryna Kozlova from Ukraine after battling three sets in the women's singles qualifying first round at the Miami Open on Monday.

Zhu, 25, No. 95 in the WTA rankings, started on fire claiming the first set at 6-0 in just 28 minutes, and went on to take an early break in Kozlova's first service game of the second set for a 2-0 lead.

But Kozlova, also 25, No. 101 in the WTA rankings, turned around the situation by breaking back twice en route to taking the second set at 6-4.

In the final set, Kozlova broke three times to seal the victory at 6-2.
