WINDHOEK, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Namibia Chess Federation will select ten players to represent the country at international events at the national championship that are currently under-way in Windhoek, technical director of Namibia Chess Federation McLean Handjaba said Wednesday.
16 players will be battling it out to be a part of the national team through the tournament on March 20-24.
"This is one of the biggest national games we have had so far, we are looking forward to challenge, fun and difficult time for the players," Handjaba said.
Handjaba also said that the tournament will consist of two sections, closed and B-sections with both sections being further divided into subdivisions of open women sections each. There will thus be four sections in total.
