TEHRAN, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesman denied the Israeli media reports that Iran is involved in hacking the mobile phones of a number of Israeli politicians, official IRNA news agency reported on Wednesday.

Israeli officials have "an old habit of playing blame games and spreading lies about Iran," Bahram Qasemi said.

"They are seeking to mount pressures on Iran and to promote Iranophobia," he added.

Israeli media reported recently that Iran's intelligence service has tapped the phones of former Israeli Chief of Staff Benny Gantz, former Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's wife Sara and son Yair.
