Jordan, G7 countries of Deauville Partnership Initiative discuss ties

AMMAN, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's Planning and International Cooperation Minister Mary Kawar on Wednesday met with the ambassadors of the G7 countries of the Deauville Partnership Initiative, a statement from the Planning Ministry said.

The meeting, which was also attended by Ambassador of the EU to Jordan Andrea Fontana, aimed to follow up on the initiative and discuss ways to promote and enhance dialogue with Jordan, according to a statement by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

Jordan is a recipient of the funding provided by the transition fund of Deauville Partnership to support areas related to financial sustainability, creativity, the promotion of the role of women, youth, water quality, SMEs, competitiveness, investment, transport and trade, according to the statement.

The meeting would enhance Jordan's efforts for the implementation of various reforms in accordance with the plans, programs and projects of the government, said the statement.
