SANAA, March 25 (Xinhua) -- At least 50 Houthi rebels were killed in Saudi-led airstrikes on Yemen's eastern province of Marib on Monday, Yemeni government-run news website September Net reported.
The attacks targeted the rebels in Rabiaa valley in Serwah district.
There were no comments by Houthi rebels on the attack.
Serwah is the only district east of Marib under Houthi control, while the rest of the oil-rich province is under the control of the internationally recognized government.
A peace deal reached in Stockholm in December last year between the Yemeni government and Houthi rebels in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah has stalled after the rival warring forces failed to withdraw from the city.
Saudi Arabia is leading the military coalition that intervened in Yemen in March 2015 to support Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi after Houthi rebels forced him into exile and seized much of the country's north.
