NEW DELHI, March 26 (Xinhua) -- The Indian Air Force (IAF) has inducted the first batch of four Chinook CH-47F(I) heavy lift helicopters in the presence of IAF chief B.S. Dhanoa in the northern city of Chandigarh.
"The induction of the CH-47F(I) Chinooks is an asset to the IAF's airlift capabilities," said Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa at the induction ceremony Monday.
He added "This modern, multi-mission-capable, heavy-lift transport helicopter will enhance our heli-lift capability across all types of terrain to full effect."
