BEIJING, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi on Friday urged resolute crackdown on wildlife crimes and strengthened protection of endangered wild animals.
Zhao made the remarks at a teleconference. He demanded measures to efficiently strike on gangs and dens related to such crimes.
The crackdown should focus on wildlife poaching and illegal trade, Zhao said, requiring proper coordination between relevant departments.
He called for continuous efforts throughout the long-lasting fight against wildlife crimes, adding that wild animal protection should become a routine.
