ATHENS, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Greek authorities have arrested an individual and confiscated 369,545 Captagon amphetamine pills found in his possession at the port of Igoumenitsa in western Greece, the Coast Guard announced on Sunday.

The 31-year-old foreign national was the driver of the car where the drugs were hidden, according to an e-mailed press release.

Their market value has been estimated to 7.3 million euros (8.2 million U.S. dollars).

In January this year Greek authorities found a massive haul of Captagon pills on a vessel in Piraeus and in 2017 have seized some 635,000 tablets of Captagon from a narcotics lab near Athens. (1 euro= 1.12 U.S. dollars)
