China's Westlake University starts construction of main campus

Westlake University, a new research-oriented private university, started construction Wednesday of its main campus in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou. With an investment of over 4.6 billion yuan (686 million U.S. dollars), the first phase of the construction covers almost one square km and is expected to be completed by the end of 2021, said Ji Qingke, vice president of Westlake University.
