MOSCOW, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Russian police killed two suspected terrorists in the North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria in a shoot-out, the Russian National Anti-Terrorist Committee said Wednesday.
In the early hours on Wednesday, police officers tried stopping a car which they believed carried individuals who had attacked their fellows one day before, but were fired upon with automatic weapons, according to the committee's statement.
Two attackers were killed in the ensuing crossfire, and they were believed to have links to the terrorist organization Islamic State, the committee said, adding that there were no civilian casualties or those of the police.
During the search of the attackers' residences, a camouflaged underground hiding place was discovered, it said.
