Rwanda commemorates 25th anniversary of 1994 genocide

 

Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel delivers a speech at the commemoration ceremony of the 25th anniversary of the 1994 genocide, in Kigali, capital of Rwanda, on April 7, 2019. Rwandans on Sunday started the commemoration to mark the 25th anniversary of the 1994 genocide that left over 1 million people dead, mainly ethnic Tutsis, with President Paul Kagame calling for continued efforts to transform the country.
