BEIJING, April 9 (Xinhua) -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the sea near Hualien county, Taiwan, at 11:13 p.m. Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.96 degrees north latitude and 121.61 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said in a statement.
