BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- About 2,000 representatives, including 230 foreign scientists and high-tech entrepreneurs, will participate in the 21st Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology in late June.
The meeting themed "Innovation-driven Reform and Opening-up" will be held in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province on June 29 and 30.
Visitors will be invited to participate in 30 activities such as forums focusing on development, dialogue among scientists and science communication saloons.
This year's meeting will deepen the association's cooperation with its global partners. It will hold the Global Green Development Contest, attracting people to create green cities and offer suggestions for the revitalization of northeastern China.
So far, 416 teachers and students from 16 prestigious universities at home and abroad, including Tsinghua University, Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, have signed up for the competition.
