TBILISI, April 12 (Xinhua) -- One person died in a tanker truck fire that occurred on the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway section near Gori in central Georgia on Friday.
The country's Emergency Situation Service said that the deceasad has not been identified yet but is presumed to be the driver of the truck.
Several fire-fighting brigades have been sent to extinguish the extensive fire on the highway, which was temporarily closed to prevent further traffic disorder.
According to the service, the fire started after the truck veered off the road unexpectedly.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
