GAZA, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Israeli soldiers shot dead on Friday a Palestinian teen and wounded 10 others during clashes with Palestinian demonstrators in eastern Gaza Strip, close to the border with Israel, medics said.
Ashraf al Qedra, health ministry spokesman, said in an emailed press statement that Maysara Abu Shaloof, 15 years old from Jabalia refugee camp, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers' gunfire.
He added that ten others were injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers in eastern Gaza Strip that broke out in the weekly protests better known as the Great March of Return.
Al Qedra said that since the start of the marches of return and breaking the Israeli siege, 272 Palestinians have been killed and 16,665 injured by Israeli soldiers' gunfire.
Leaders of the High Commission of the Great March of Return insist that the weekly protests will go on until the Israeli blockade that has been imposed on the Gaza Strip since 2007 is completely lifted.
