RIO DE JANEIRO, April 15 (Xinhua) -- The Brazilian government on Monday condemned the terrorist attacks in Pakistan last week that left over 20 dead and many injured.

"In expressing solidarity with the families of the victims, the people and the government of Pakistan, Brazil reiterates its firm rejection of any act of terrorism, whatever its motivation," the Brazilian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

At least 20 people were killed and over 40 others injured in a blast that hit a fruit and vegetable market in Pakistan's southwestern city of Quetta last Friday.

Later in the day, a blast in Chaman, a city in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, killed two civilians, including a child, and injured eight others.
