BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) -- China's fixed-asset investment (FAI) grew 6.3 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2019, 0.2 percentage points faster than the first two months, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said Wednesday.
Compared with the same period of last year, the growth was down 1.2 percentage points.
The FAI in Q1 amounted to 10.187 trillion yuan (about 1.5 trillion U.S. dollars), according to the NBS.
Private investment, accounting for around 60 percent of the total, posted a 6.4-percent year-on-year increase, outpacing the overall FAI growth, the NBS data showed.
