U.S. crude oil refinery inputs decrease last week: EIA

HOUSTON, April 17 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil refinery inputs decreased during the week ending April 12, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday.

According to the EIA's data, U.S. crude oil refinery inputs averaged 16.1 million barrels per day last week, 22,000 barrels per day less than the previous week's average. U.S. refineries operated at 87.7 percent of their operable capacity.

The EIA also reported a decrease in both gasoline production and distillate fuel production, averaging 9.9 million and 4.8 million barrels per day, respectively.

Total products supplied over the last four-week period averaged 20.1 million barrels per day, down by 3.6 percent from the same period last year.

Over the past four weeks, motor gasoline product supplied averaged 9.4 million barrels per day, down by 0.2 percent from the same period last year.

Distillate fuel product supplied averaged 3.9 million barrels per day over the past four weeks, down by 7.6 percent from the same period last year. Jet fuel product supplied was down 5.3 percent compared with the same four-week period last year.
