GHAZNI, Afghanistan, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Nine militants were killed and 10 detainees have been released after the Afghan security forces stormed a Taliban hideout in Qarabagh district of the eastern Ghazni province on Monday, Aref Nuri the spokesman for provincial government said.
The security forces targeted a Taliban hideout in Fatihullah village of Qarabagh district early Monday morning and set free 10 persons who had been kept by the Taliban militants illegally in a container, the official added.
Five more militants have been captured during the raid, the official said, adding cleanup operation is continuing.
Taliban militants who are in control of parts of the troubled Ghazni province have not commented yet.
