BEIRUT, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabiah, supervisor-general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center, said Monday that Saudi Arabia will inaugurate several new projects to serve refugees and needy people in Lebanon, the National News Agency reported.

"We came to Lebanon with the guidance of King Salman to implement rescue and humanitarian projects in Lebanon and create cooperation between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center and Lebanese civil society institutions," al-Rabiah was quoted as saying upon his arrival to Beirut's airport.

Al-Rabiah came to Lebanon in a three day visit to meet with Lebanese officials and representatives of humanitarian organizations to offer help to refugees in several areas in the country.

Al-Rabiah said that Saudi Arabia is the biggest contributor to Syrian refugees in Lebanon and outside of it.

"Saudi Arabia's rescue efforts are the most extensive among other countries in the world," he said.
