BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Guoan created the best season opening performance in China's top flight history with a seven-game winning streak here on Sunday after a comprehensive 4-1 victory over a struggling Dalian Yifang.
Guoan made six wins from the previous six rounds while Yifang only snatched one win before Sunday's match.
Guoan's midfielder Jonathan Viera returned to action while Yifang missed Marek Hamsik and benched Belgian hitman Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco.
It was the perfect start for the hosts, as in the opening minutes Yifang's goalkeeper Zhang Chong just meekly beat away a Jiang Tao effort and Viera pounced on the rebound.
Right-back Jiang continued to wreak havoc as he earned a penalty in the 20th minute, Zhang Xizhe stepped up to convert.
Guoan added the third in the 43rd minute as Wang Ziming nodded for well positioned Viera to send the ball into the empty net.
Wang Ziming almost scored the fourth 9 minutes after the break but his attempt in a close range was cleared off the line by Yifang's defender.
Viera completed his hat trick in the 66th minute as the Spaniard gathered a through ball from Renato Augusto and smashed in from a close range.
Zheng Long's free kick in the 76th minute was parried away by Guoan's goalkeeper Zou Dehai, but Jiang scored an own goal in the resulting corner.
Guoan continued to sit on the top place on the table, and they will take on Guangzhou Evergrande in the next round.
