WUHAN, April 29 (Xinhua) -- The Executive Committee of the 7th Military World Games launched recruitment for game-time volunteers from enterprises here in the hosting city of Wuhan on Monday.
In the first stop of this recruitment, over 1,100 employees from the Third Engineering Bureau of China Construction, a large state-owned company that has built up venues for the Games, had expressed their willingness to be a volunteers for this sports event.
Some construction workers who helped to build the venues for the Games also applied for game-time volunteers.
"It is our honor to serve for the Games both as constructors and volunteers," said Wang Zhi, a construction worker from this company.
According to the officials of the Executive Committee, the official recruitment for the second batch of game-time volunteers will be closed by the end of this May, while the number of applications has been increased to over 78,000, among which college students take up the largest proportion.
