ASTANA, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan's average monthly wage increased 10.5 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, among other data showing the country's economic stability, according to official statistics.
The first quarter's average monthly nominal salary amounted to 168,489 tenge (441.75 U.S. dollars), with the highest nominal wages recorded in the mining and manufacturing industries, as well as financial, insurance and technical industries, according to figures released by the country's statistics committee.
On a monthly basis, prices for food products and non-food products, as well as chargeable services in April all witnessed slight increases compared with the figures in March.
