ANKARA, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Two Turkish soldiers were killed in a clash with Kurdish militants in southeastern Sirnak province on Sunday, Turkey's Defense Ministry said.
Turkish military had launched air-supported operations against militants in the area, the ministry said in a statement.
On Saturday, three Turkish soldiers were killed and one was wounded in the neighboring province of Hakkari by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) shelling from northern Iraq.
The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU, resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in 2015 after a brief reconciliation period.
