ANKARA -- Turkish Foreign Ministry on Thursday slammed the U.S. remarks on the Istanbul mayoral elections, urging Washington to respect the revote decision by the Turkish top election body.

CAIRO -- An Egyptian court on Thursday acquitted former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly in a retiral of his corruption case, the official news agency MENA reported.
Adly, who served under former President Hosni Mubarak, was sentenced in April 2017 to seven years in prison after being convicted of embezzlement of public funds. (Egypt-Court-Mubarak Aide)

BAGHDAD -- Eight people were killed and 12 other injured on Thursday in a suicide bomb attack at a marketplace in Sadr City neighborhood in eastern the Iraqi capital Baghdad, a police source told Xinhua.
