MOSCOW, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and two others injured as household gas exploded at a two-story building in Russia's Rostov Region on Sunday, TASS news agency reported.
The blast occurred in the wee hours, damaging seven apartments and destroying three of them, TASS said, quoting the Russian Emergency Ministry.
A nine-year-old girl died in the ambulance on the way to a hospital and a man was found dead underneath the rubble. An elderly woman and a man were seriously wounded.
The building could collapse and has been cut off from gas and power. Residents are living at an emergency shelter or with relatives.
The regional administration announced that they will provide financial assistance to the family of the victims and those who lost their homes.
