BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- "P Storm," the fourth installment of a crime thriller franchise, led a seasonal audience satisfaction survey for domestic films, the China Film Archive said Tuesday.

"Song of Youth," a drama set in a Chinese campus in the 1980s, scored the second highest in the survey covering 12 domestic films that debuted between mid-March and the May Day holiday this year.

"P Storm," which debuted on April 4, beat Warner Bros. superhero flick "Shazam!" to be the box office champion during the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday and dominated the China daily box office for 19 days in a row after its premiere.

"Song of Youth" gained praise for its fine production and for its sweet story that contrasted with the comedic leading actor. It led the daily box office for seven days, starting from the sixth day of its March 22 debut.

"P Storm" and "Song of Youth" have taken in a total of 792 million yuan (115 million U.S. dollars) and 353 million yuan respectively in the Chinese mainland box office.
