TEHRAN, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Iran has developed a firewall to fend off malicious computer worm of Stuxnet which might be used to attack Iran's sensitive industrial facilities, an Iranian minister said Thursday.

The firewall has been successfully tested on industrial automation systems, Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, Iranian minister of Information and Communications Technology, was quoted as saying by Press TV.

It "practically neutralizes sabotage against industrial facilities," he noted.

Iran has been accusing Israel of targeting its nuclear and communications facilities by Stuxnet over the past years.

In November 2018, Iran said it had thwarted Israeli cyber attacks against the country's communications infrastructure.
