5G COMMERCIALIZATION
China's 5G products are becoming increasingly mature, and the industry has basically reached the level of commercial use, said an official with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
PILOT ZONE FOR AI APPLICATION
China's eastern metropolis of Shanghai on Tuesday started to build the country's first pilot zone for the innovation and application of artificial intelligence (AI).
Approved by the MIIT, the pilot zone in the Pudong New Area has set three main tasks, to establish an AI core industrial cluster, to promote AI application and to build a supporting system for AI innovation.
RICE BLAST CONTROL
An international study has found how rice blast fungus spreads, providing insights on the control of rice blast, the most devastating rice disease in the world.
The study is expected to help develop new approaches for the control of rice blast fungus infection and also shed light on the study on the virulence mechanism of plant fungi. Enditem
