BEIRUT, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will work on boosting business ties, local media reported on Thursday.
"Lebanese Tripoli's Chamber of Commerce and the embassy of UAE in Lebanon have identified possible ways to enhance the flow of investments to Tripoli's developmental, economic and social projects," Toufic Dabbousi, head of Tripoli's Chamber of Commerce, was quoted as saying by the National News Agency.
His remarks came during his meeting with UAE Ambassador to Lebanon Hamad Bin Saeed Al Shamsi.
Dabbousi added that Tripoli is launching huge projects that can be of great interest to the UAE.
"We have invited the ambassador to a meeting about the big projects that the city will launch in the near future," he said.
Dabbousi also praised the UAE for its role in strengthening economic and social causes in the Arab world.
