BEIJING, May 26 (Xinhua) -- A total of 2,039 pieces of copyright infringing goods have been seized at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge customs house, according to Gongbei Customs District.
Relevant right holders have confirmed in writing that these goods, including garments, shoes and watches, infringe on the trademark right of 21 brands, such as Christian Dior, CHANEL and PRADA.
These goods have been detained for further investigation.
In the first quarter this year, China seized infringing goods worth 41.05 million yuan (about 6 million U.S. dollars), involving 4,612 batches of imported and exported goods with 16.54 million items, according to the General Administration of Comsoms.
The administration approved 2,714 applications for the protection of intellectual property rights in Q1, up 11.3 percent year on year.
