SINGAPORE, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.03 percent, or 0.88 points, to close at 3,170.77.
A total of 922.48 million shares changed hands with a turnover of 643.56 million Singapore dollars (about 468.32 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 188 to 159.
