KIGALI, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Rwandan Ministry of Education on Monday launched the nationwide Quality Education Enhancement Awareness Campaign, aimed at improving the quality of education in the country.
The fifth phase of the campaign will run from May 27 to June 7, under the theme of "A Regular Present Teacher, With Good Pedagogical Practices is Key to Quality Education."
The campaign targets 900 primary and secondary schools across the country.
During the campaign, teachers will be sensitized on punctuality and lesson planning in line with competence based curriculum standards, and head teachers will be advised to supervise in-class teaching activities.
Rwandan Minister of State in Charge of Primary and Secondary Education Isaac Munyakazi urged teachers to take measures to prevent absenteeism, class repetition and the dropout of students.
