JAKARTA, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian football association of PSSI has prepared 8 stadiums across the country in its bid to host the 2021 U-21 World Cup, a PSSI senior official said here on Monday.

"We will decide the best 8 stadiums. All of those Indonesian stadiums have international standards and reputations to host international football matches. They are also supported by related facilities around," PSSI Secretary General Ratu Tisha Destria said.

Those 8 stadiums will be shortlisted from 10 ones considered eligible to host the U-21 World Cup, comprised of Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK), Patriot Candrabhaga, Pakansari, Wibawa Mukti, Bandung Lautan Api, Si Jalak Harupat, Jatidiri, Manahan, Mandala Krida, Gelora Bumi Sriwijaya, Papua Bangkit and Batakan.

Those stadiums are located in several provinces in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Papua.

The selected Indonesian stadiums are expected to convince FIFA in picking Indonesia to host the international football tournament.

Indonesia has profound experiences to host international sports events, including football, making the nation eager to take part in the bidding, she added.

The Overview of the Bidding Process documents have been sent by FIFA to football federations eager to host the U-21 World Cup last month.

Each football federation is expected to file in their bidding documents no later than August 30 to FIFA. Announcement on the appointed host country would be conducted by FIFA in the fourth quarter this year.

Indonesia's rivals in the bidding are Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Myanmar, Thailand, Peru and Brazil.
