Dollar changes hands in mid-109 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 28 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-109 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with its levels a day earlier.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.51-52 yen compared with 109.57-58 yen in Tokyo on Monday at 5:00 p.m.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1193-1193 dollars and 122.58-62 yen against 1.1196-1197 dollars and 122.68-72 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
