OTTAWA, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed Monday evening in a plane crash in the city of Whitehorse in northwestern Canada, Canadian television network CTV said Tuesday.
The light, single-engined Cessna 170 plane, bound for the municipality of Anchorage in the U.S. state of Alaska, crashed into trees at 5:30 p.m. local time on Monday (0030 GMT Tuesday) shortly after taking off from the airport in Whitehorse, the CTV said.
A team of investigators will head to Whitehorse on Tuesday, it said.
