SINGAPORE, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.18 percent, or 5.70 points, to close at 3,123.46.
A total of 1.06 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 880.80 million Singapore dollars (about 642.64 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 210 to 143.
The STI index went down 0.8 percent, or 25.24 points, to close at 3,117.76 last Friday. Enditem
