KIEV, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's Central Election Commission (CEC) approved the allocation of the state budget funds for the preparation of snap parliamentary elections scheduled for July 21.

The amount of money planned to be spent is about 72.6 million U.S. dollars.

According to CEC press service, the budget was approved by the commission during a meeting held on Monday.

According to the budget report, 65 percent of the allocated funds will go to district and precinct electoral commissions, while 20 percent will go to CEC and 15 percent is the reserve fund.

The parliamentary elections, originally scheduled for October, were set early by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after his decree to dissolve the parliament on May 20.

The previous parliamentary elections held on Oct. 26, 2014 cost Ukraine 44.7 million dollars.
