PYONGYANG, June 4 (Xinhua) -- A grand gymnastics and artistic performance entitled "The People's Country" was held at the May Day Stadium here on Monday evening to demonstrate the country's achievements over the past 70 years and call for friendship with other countries.
Tens of thousands of performers, including young students, presented beautiful and graceful rhythmic movements, high-spirited gymnastics and large kaleidoscopic backgrounds at the event.
Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un and other senior leaders watched the performance.
The show will go on until mid-October, the official Korean Central News Agency reported.
