BEIJING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment's action film "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" topped the Chinese mainland box office on Wednesday, the China Movie Data Information Network said Thursday.
The film pulled in around 27.08 million yuan (about 3.9 million U.S. dollars) on the day and grossed more than 578 million yuan in six days since its debut on the mainland.
It was followed by "X-Men: Dark Phoenix," American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics X-Men characters, which earned around 7.63 million yuan.
Coming in the third was Disney's live-action "Aladdin," which brought in around 7.33 million yuan.
