TEHRAN, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will travel to Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe next week for the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Tasnim news agency reported Thursday.
Rouhani's participation in the 5th CICA summit is at the invitation of his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon.
The participation was confirmed during Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin's recent trip to Tehran.
The CICA summit, slated for June 14 and 15 in Dushanbe, is a platform for enhancing cooperation toward promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.
