KAMPALA, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Sebastien Desabre, head coach of Uganda's national football team named a final 23-man squad ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday.
Ahmed Hussein, communication manager of the country's football governing body told Xinhua that Desabre named the team after two weeks of training in Abu Dhabi.
South Africa based goalkeeper Denis Onyango will captain the team, while Hassan Wasswa Mawanda is the assistant.
Uganda is pooled alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe and hosts Egypt in Group A in the tournament slated to start June 21-July 19.

Defenders: Bevis Mugabi, Nicholas Wakiro Wadada, Timothy Denis Awany, Hassan Wasswa Mawanda, Ronald Ddungu Mukiibi, Murushid Juuko, Godfrey Walusimbi, Isaac Muleme, Joseph Ochaya
