TEHRAN, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Former Turkey's national team coach, Mustafa Denizli, signed to lead popular Iranian soccer team, Tractor Sazi of Tabriz.
Denizli succeeds Belgian Georges Leekens who parted company with the Tabriz-based team at the end of last Iranian Professional League (IPL) season.
The details of the Turkish coach contract have not been disclosed yet.
Denizli started his coaching career in Iran soccer league with Pas in 2004 and left the team after two years.
He managed the Iranian giant Persepolis in 2006 and 2010.
He has managed many Turkish notable soccer clubs, including "Istanbul Big Three"- namely Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas.
Denizli has won the Turkish Super League title three times. He is the only manager in history to win the Super League title with three clubs.
